Sustainability & Ethical Sourcing

The origins of our products and cotton, in particular, are very important to chucklr. The cotton is organic and ethically sourced as well as being environmentally friendly. We also make a conscious effort to be as eco friendly as possible, minimising our carbon footprint, and do not use any child labour throughout the process.

In addition, we can use a selection of water-based inks to produce designs with the same level of impact as traditional plastic-based solutions.

  • For Printing, we only use designated Soil Association approved inks.
  • For Embroidery, we only use Soil Association approved threads and backing products.

The following organisations have accredited products and processes within our range. Please see each product for the relevant accreditation. Meanwhile, here is an overview of the organisations.

Global Organic Textile Standard - GOTS Certification -
GOTS is an organisation consisting of four member organisations, the OTA (USA), IVN (Germany), Soil association (UK) and JOCA (Japan). Their mission is that organic textiles will become a significant part of everyday life, enhancing people’s lives and the environment. This standard stipulates requirements throughout the supply chain for both ecology and labour conditions in textile and apparel manufacturing using organically produced raw materials. Organic production is based on a system of farming that maintains and replenishes soil fertility without the use of toxic, persistent pesticides and fertilisers. In addition, organic production relies on adequate animal husbandry and excludes genetic modification.

Soil Association

We are proud to say that our cotton products follow the Soil Association guidelines for organic clothing and products using decorated organic processes.

Fair Wear Foundation
The Fair Wear Foundation is an independent non-profit organisation that has been set up specifically to improve working conditions in the garment industry. More and more customers are demanding to know what goes into the production of their garments. When you purchase a Fair Wear certified product you know that the pay and conditions in the local market are fair and just.

Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production (WRAP)
WRAP is an independent, non-profit team of global social compliance experts. Their main aim is to visit facilities that are involved in the production of clothing and certify the facility complies with local laws, workplace regulations, universal workers rights and environmental regulations.
